Manila, Philippines (09 May 2012) - Multiply.com is officially announcing today the re-location of its corporate headquarters to Jakarta from Boca Raton, Florida and its new CEO Stefan Magdalinski. With its core markets in the Philippines and Indonesia where Multiply.com is a leader in e-commerce, the company is also bringing all technical and product developments from the US to Indonesia, and is currently hiring engineers to lead the effort from the new HQ in Jakarta.
As the newly-appointed CEO of Multiply.com, the pioneering social networking site and e-commerce market leader in Indonesia and the Philippines, Magdalinski brings business and technical experience to the role as an entrepreneur, chief executive, and former chief technical officer. Magdalinski and his team will drive Multiply.com’s growth in the region by delivering great online shopping experiences for local buyers and sellers.
“I'm very excited to be working with the existing Multiply teams in Indonesia and the Philippines and become part of our new operations here. Originally from the UK, and with 15 years e-commerce experience, Stefan previously managed e-commerce across Sub-Saharan Africa for MIH (a subsidiary of Naspers Group). Here at Multiply, we like to make sure that everyone is happy. One way of doing this is by trying to prevent fraudulent cases from occurring. This is why we have a procedure for verifying credit card or PayPal payments. What do I mean? We like to make sure that the person using the card is in fact the owner of the card.
How do we do it? Well, we ask for scanned copies of 2 valid government IDs as well as a scanned copy of the front of the card in order to verify that the individual is the owner. Don’t worry! We always ask that the first 12 digits of the front of the card are covered for your protection.
Then the documents must be sent to verifyph@multiply.com with the following subject line:
Have you heard about our Multiply Sellebrity stories contest? We asked your merchants to submit videos of their Multiply stories on YouTube. The contest is about to come to a close and they need your votes! All you have to do is go to YouTube and type “Multiply Sellebrity” so you can see the different videos that some merchants have submitted. Step 1
Shop at the Multiply Marketplace then add the items you want to your shopping cart. Upon check-out, make sure you select the VISA/MasterCard Credit Card payment option.
Step 2
Provide the required card details as printed in your My ePrepaid MasterCard then click on the ’Use this Card’ button.
Step 3
To complete your transaction, click on the ‘Place Your Order’ button.
Now all you have to do is wait for your purchase to arrive within 2-5 days! Wasn’t that easy? Now you can start shopping with your My ePrepaid MasterCard!

A few reminders before they get started:
The merchant must be at least 18 years old to join this activity.
Their video must be 1-3 minutes long.

Ms. Bianca Donato of theschoolofsatchel.multiply.com was awarded the Multiply Pinay Pride Award for her stylish Philippine-crafted leather goods. She has been so successful in promoting her business that her satchels have been selected over other international brands by buyers based in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and beyond. This awardee not only brings Filipino craftsmanship to the global scene but also gives back to the community by sourcing 100% of materials from local manufacturers and suppliers. One of her most notable projects was her partnership with the Kaeskwela for the students of Malulang Elementary. Together, they successfully donated 200 schoolbags to students afflicted by Typhoon Sendong in Cagayan de Oro. Ms. Bianca Donato is truly a shining example of what it means to be proud to be Pinoy.
